Brock Farms has everything you need in indoor
and outdoor decor By Clare Marie
Celano
Fall is a time for clearing away the old and ushering in the new. If decorating is in your fall scenario, visit Brock Farms at two locations and create any number of looks for your home and yard.
The name Brock Farms has been synonymous with fine quality and expert craftsmanship since the 1950s.
Starting out in the produce business, selling tomatoes and strawberries in Colts Neck, the business has now expanded to include nursery stock, statuary and outdoor patio dcor, home dcor and another store in Freehold. | | No matter what the season, Brock Farms has the decorations that will make your home more festive. |

The family business, owned and operated by Ed and Jean Brock, with some help from their children, Linda and Ed Jr., has managed to diversify and keep up with the times. The family has created an indoor and outdoor home decorating empire over the last 50 years - one that welcomes customers with wonderful products and a background of knowledge that comes from being in the business for such a length of time.
The store carries numerous items to help improve the look of your home, whether you are looking for outside nursery items such as small trees and bushes, flowers, patio blocks or statuary, and any number of items that can be added to your current home design.
Whether you are just starting out and the sky's the limit, or just have a desire to spruce up the cozy cottage you've lived in for years, a visit to Brock Farms can spark your imagination. The staff at Brock Farms is readily available to help you bring your conceptual ideas into a reality.
According to Linda Brock, who runs the Freehold location of the business along with long-time manager Ben Castronova, the staff is well versed in all the products they sell. You're not getting inexperienced help that you might find in a home decoration department store, according to Brock. You're dealing with people who have grown up in the business. | | Brock Farms has a very large selection of statuary. |

Choose nursery stock which lines more than 600 acres of land. Walking through the rows of trees in September prepares you for the upcoming holidays as the scent of pine surrounds you, along with the visual beauty of evergreens, cypress and junipers, all in different sizes and shapes.
Wander around the paths on the property and take in the numerous styles of outdoor statuary the business offers.
If your taste leans toward the traditional, there are fountains that can add individual style and panache to your front or back yard. These lovely additions to your property come in all sizes, styles and price ranges.
There are planters, bird baths and a variety of adorable statues. Choose those that suit your specific taste. If you're a firefighter, a G.I. Joe fan or a golfer, there's a statue to highlight your passion.
If "cute" and amusing is your style, you'll love the pint-sized children characters. Painted brightly in styles and colors reminiscent of the 1950s, these characters cannot help but remind one of days gone by.
Frogs must be very popular these days, judging by the wide variety Brock Farms stocks. Select frogs standing, sitting, smoking or lying down. There are also whimsical lady frogs in get-ups such as bikinis, with lipstick and fancy sunglasses. They're cute and can brighten up any property.
Your visit to the statuary section of the farm will also reveal leprechauns, elephants and bunny rabbits. You'll also see dolphins, puppy dogs and flamingos as well as many other figures, too numerous to list. Make your outdoor statement with a creature that shows off your own unique style.
If you've a mind to dazzle and wow neighbors, there's a painted gold leaf bird bath that may attract you. The lacy design and gold filigree simply exude elegance.
A complete line of patio blocks in many different designs, along with a line of religious statues, can give your spirit its own particular piece of heaven in your backyard.
If you've been thinking of building one of those lovely fish ponds on your property, Brock Farms can help. The Colts Neck location stocks everything you can think of, from pond plants to tiny fish and tadpoles, along with special lighting. According to Linda Brock, her brother Ed. Jr., who operates the Colts Neck store, has the knowledge to help customers create the perfect pond. Bring in the measurements of the area where you see a pond coming to life - the rest will come easily!
Giftware is another aspect of Brock Farms these days. According to Linda, she and her staff travel around the country to special craft shows to find unique and creative crafts and giftware for their customers. Brock Farms also offers a full line of glassware and dishware.
Clocks, dolls, wreaths, lamps and hand-painted furniture are also on display for customers to purchase or just look at and touch.
The business is also welcoming a new addition to their collection this year - a 5,000-square-foot Halloween barn which will house all its Halloween goodies.
If Oct. 31 is your favorite holiday, you're not likely to find a more comprehensive selection of "scary stuff" anywhere else. Whether you're looking to create the spirit of Halloween inside your home or outside in your yard, the selection of spooky goodies is vast.
Pumpkins, goblins and witches in many designs, textures and sizes, line the huge barn, along with life-sized skeletons, vampires, witches, bats, and other crazy creatures.
If scary and spooky is not your thing, choose from the vast selection of "quieter" holiday items like colorful decorative wreaths. Lovely colors of rust, brown and gold can adorn your door or room, ushering in fall at its best.
Brock Farms is already working on Thanksgiving, too. Ceramic turkeys and items like dishware and other kitchen and dining accessories are already set up for your perusal.
Plan to take your time when you visit Brock Farms. You won't want to miss anything.
